CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying

Overview

The CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying will apply the skills you have learned at work and continue to develop your ability to work with building materials to build veneer or full brick constructions. You will work with clay, concrete, masonry and other building materials to create walls, partitions, arches, steps, stairs and other brick or block constructions. You will learn how to build curved structures and create ornamental brickwork.

Participant Eligibility

An Eligible Participant for this Program

MUST BE:

  • an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident; or
  • a Participant who has the right to work on a valid VISA prescribed by Construction Skills Queensland who has been employed in the Building and Construction Industry for a period of 6 months or more, and is
  • an Eligible Worker in Queensland, or is
  • an unemployed Eligible Worker who has been unemployed for a period not greater than 6 months, in Queensland; and
  • able to demonstrate RPL experience in 70% or more of the competencies required to complete the full Qualification.

MUST NOT BE:

  • an Apprentice or Trainee.
  • hold a Certificate III in a Building and Construction Qualification.
  • hold a Certificate III in a Civil Construction Qualification.
  • through direct credit, be able to achieve more than 50% of the number of the units required to meet the minimum 70% of the competencies for the recognition process.
  • an Employee of an Authority.
  • currently enrolled and participating in a Queensland secondary school program.
  • a contracted trainer or assessor or existing worker of an RTO.
  • funded by an Authority or such other source for delivery of the same Training being undertaken as part of this Program.
  • funded for more than one qualification under this Program.
  • enrolled in more than one Qualification at a time under this Program and the Higher Qualification Program.
  • a Participant seeking a Verification of Competency.

The CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying comprises a total of 28 units of competency, 20 of which are classified as core units and 8 are electives. You must be deemed competent in all 28 units to attain the qualification.
